This
course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge on various types
of sensor, their function and application in the manufacturing and process
plant. Participants will be exposed to the characteristics of sensors physical
construction and important parameters. Hands-on activities for all sensors make
the training livelier and more valuable. Selection of sensors and various
sensor connection techniques will inspire participants to learn and apply the
knowledge at their workplace. This course introduces the concepts of modern
sensors and actuators. The subject aims are as follows:-
- Describe
the principle characteristic, parameter and function of various types of
sensor.
- Perform
the various type of connection of sensors.
- Perform
troubleshooting of sensors.
- Select
the correct type of sensors based on its application
- To explain some of the most important physical
principles applied in sensors and actuators
- To show examples of the way that these principles
are exploited in proprietary devices
- To highlight some of the most fundamental
performance limitations which arise in these devices employing different
physical principles
We practice 70% hands-on training during the course.
